Action is what CUPE Ontario is all about. We are the political wing of Canada’s largest union in the country’s largest province. Actions range from lobbying the provincial government on broad issues like the budget or labour law to sector-based campaigns on issues like the education funding formula, the review of postsecondary education or plans for expanding public child care. We also plan actions to support local bargaining, especially in lockout and strike situations.

Rebuilding strong communities is the over-arching theme for CUPE Ontario in 2005. Our focus is on fighting privatization and P3s, making gains and rejecting concessions at the bargaining table and strengthening the power of the membership.
